This fantasy brochure cover for the 1963-64 Chrysler Turbine Car features photos taken years ago: the Turbine Car photo was taken at Detroit’s Walter P. Chrysler Museum in 2003; the iconic Unisphere photo was taken at the New York Worlds Fair in 1964 where the unique car was seen by millions. Fifty Turbine Cars were lent out to everyday people and journalists who drove/evaluated them in 3-month shifts over 3 years. They were ‘sluggish’ when driven like ‘normal’ cars, but actually could do 0-60 in 5.5 seconds. Ten survive.
