Artist's Description
An old cemetery on a hill near Selma, Iowa on the Des Moines River where Chief Black Hawk (War of 1812) was originally buried in 1838. His body was stolen so his skeleton could be displayed, but it turned up in the Burlington (Iowa) Historical Society offices which burned down with the Chief in 1855. There's a plaque in the cemetery.
