Description
Though it looks like an escapee from a Mad Max movie, the TVI-2 (Tornado Intercept Vehicle) was built in 2007 for “Tornado Alley 3D”, an IMAX movie. It also spent five seasons on Discovery channel’s “Storm Chasers”. Built on the frame of a Dodge Ram 3500 truck, it was designed to go through and film tornadoes. Its 6.7-liter Cummins 625 hp turbocharged diesel engine can move the 14,000 pound armored vehicle an estimated top speed of over 100 mph. It has two-inch thick steel walls, bulletproof glass, six-wheel drive and can travel 800 miles between fill-ups. The TVI-2 would certainly make a statement at a local car show. It would also look great on a T-shirt or jigsaw puzzle. Visit Ron-Long.pixels.com for MANY other available products including coffee mugs, pillows, framed prints, fleece blankets and tote bags.
