Artist's Description
Grant Wood used this Iowa farm house as a backdrop for his iconic painting "American Gothic" in 1930. His sister and dentist took the role of farmer and daughter. I took this photo in 1966, long after Mr. Wood left Eldon, my wife's hometown.
