William “Billy” Durant’s background included horse-drawn carriages in 1895, buying the troubled Buick company in 1904, forming General Motors by buying Cadillac, Oldsmobile and Oakland, partnering with Chevrolet and being ousted from GM in 1920. A year later he started his new venture, Durant Motors and produced Durants from 1921 to 1926 and again 1928 to 1932. This beauty is a 1923 A-22 Sport Touring model digitally transferred to South Dakota.
