Thanks Linda! I believe it was a Ford Company school bus used to take students to a Ford trade school in the UP, but I'm still checking. I'll update my description when I know more.

This is a great capture! I wonder what its story is, besides coming from the UP! l/f

Artist's Description

Several years ago this 1936 Ford School Bus was found and dragged out of the woods in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. When Henry Ford closed down his school operations in the UP in 1942, he gave the bus to the Baraga County School District and it was used as a back up bus until 1948. In 1950 it was sold to an individual who stored his maple syrup equipment in it. Deep in the woods he would tap trees and boil down the sap to make syrup while he camped in the bus. It was given to the current owner by his daughter and son-in-law. • Besides a jigsaw puzzle, this image would also look great on a throw pillow, mug, tote bag or MANY other items seen at Ron-Long.pixels.com.
