Description
John Zacherle was known as a talented singer, actor and late-fifties TV host of Horror Film Shows in Philadelphia and New York City where I was a devoted fan. So much so that he was the subject of my first oil painting in 1959. Zach and his friends would appear seamlessly in scenes of “Bride Of Frankenstein” or whatever was playing and add his own skits. His version of “Monster Mash” was a graveyard smash.
